The Genomics Service provides solutions for gene expression studies using Agilent Technologies or microarray platforms compatible with GenePix 4000B scaner from Axon Instruments.

The microarrays services include experimental design advises, microarray production, labelling and hybridization samples, and image and data analysis.

Service also can perform RNA/DNA integrity analysis by Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer and manufacture of home-made cDNA microarrays using BioRobotics Digilab Microgrid II Printer.

High-quality RNA starting material is essential to successful microarray experimentation.

500 ng of total RNA is needed for Agilent Gene Expression microarrays.

RNA should be intact.

There should be no genomic DNA in the sample.

Samples should have an A260/A280 ratio of at least 1.8.

Min volume of the RNA sample is 5 µl, pref. concentration 100–150 ng/µl

RNA should be dissolved in aqueous solution (preferably DNase + RNase free water, not in DEPC water)
