Well done, Ana!

Ana’s PhD project on the characterization of DEVIL peptides has been really a test for her endurance, perseverance and good spirits. She has done an excellent job at the defense and now is the newest doctor of the lab. Good luck in your future projects . We will surely miss you!

EvoFruLanding

Cristina and Paco went to Medellín to work in the Universidad de Antioquia, at the lab of Natalia Pabón Mora, in the framework of the EvoFruLand project. Lots of interesting discussions, plenty of botanical deligths and colombian warmth.

ILS Granada

Irene, Paco and Cristina went to the International Legume Society meeting held in Granada. A great opportunity to meet excellent friends and colleagues (see Julie Hofer and Noel Ellis in the picture), stay in touch with the community and present out work

The Australian tour

Cristina was invited to talk at the International Congress of Genetics held in Melbourne. After a great meeting, she could visit Brisbane and Tasmania to meet good friends and colleagues like Jim Weller and Christine Beveridge and have good fun and great science!

Vero thesis

We love PhD defense days. And this time was Verónica Sánchez Gerschon, who brilliantly presented her work on GPA regulators in Arabidopsis. And a great day for Vicente too: his first PhD student, co-supervised with Cristina, got the degree with all the honors.

Clara’s day

The first “pandemic” thesis from the lab. Clara faced all the problems of a hard time but succeeded in producing a beautiful work that earned her a PhD with honors. Here she is with all the future doctors in the lab, happy as only one can be after the defense!
